Ed is great. His staff has all been there forever, like Scott. The work is good, throrough, and honest. As to cost, not cheap, but not inflated. The only downside is that it is mostly focusing on Japanese cars.

Ed's excellent at offering a ballpark estimate on the phone. The four or five times he's worked on my Civic, his initial over-the-phone estimate has been within five or ten bucks of the actual cost, and the actual has usually come in under the estimate.

Ed always answers the phone with a friendly "hello;" but not "Ed's Garage." So at first you are not sure if you misdialed. But, it's just his way and you get used to it. He's a good guy.

We have been taking our cars to Ed's for almost 24 years. We trust him and his staff (which have all been there forever -- another good sign) completely. They specialize in Japanese cars but we have also taken a Ford Focus there. Very customer-friendly. Cost appears to be competitive -- not cut-rate but not too expensive. In other words, fair.

They are honest and back up their work. I have been a customer for over 25 years.
