As I was driving to Baltimore on 1-95 yesterday, my car started making this horrible "Don't drive me anymore noise." I wound up at Altra Transmission. These folks are just great. They directed me to an inexpensive towing service. I left the car with them so Devin could evaluate the trouble, no charge for the estimate. Turns out that the problem was caused when I had my brakes done at Precision Tune. Apparently, they had failed to replace the bolts which hold the calipers in place. One bolt on the left was missing and both bolts on the right were missing!! They could have killed me. Devin insisted that I take the car back and make them repair their shoddy workmanship. He also offered to talk to them if they disbeleived me or gave me a hard time. If Altra was closer to where I lived, they would become my new mechanic of choice. Not only did he not charge me a penny. Devin took the time to listen to my description of the trouble thoroughly, and is willing to back me against Precision Tune. There are certainly still good people in the world.
