The guys at Hawthorn Bi-Rite have always been honest with me and they way undercut the price that local dealerships charge. They always explain in my lauguage what is going on and always call me to let me know what is going on. They are not condescending and don't take advantage of me because I am a female. They also give me rides to/from work or home (I do live/work within a couple of miles of them). They also have always given immediate attention or at least gotten my car in for service within 2-3 days max (they are a small outfit with 2 garage bays). I wouldn't let anybody else work on my car.

I would be a shade-tree kinda guy if i had the resources to put together a killer garage, but since I don't I've been forced to visit many mechanics in my area. I always attempt to diagnose and work on my vehicles when I can, and I've a voracious apetite for research, so I've aquired a lot of knowledge regarding car repair. I must say that Hawthorn Bi-Rite is the one garage (out of about 12 I've visited) where the mechanic was on-point with the problem and gave me a price that not only undercut local dealers by several hundred dollars, but other local mechanics as well. It is the one garage where I leave feeling confident about my decision to let them work on my car. In fact, the last time I used them, my newly repaired Jeep ran quieter than when I first purchased it. Good men, good work, highly recomended.
