Phone number: 508-852-1981 Open Mon- Fri.about 7:20A to about 5:30P Rudy and his wife Helen and son Bob run the place. He's been at the same location for over 12 years now, and has been in the business his whole life having earlier owned a Sunoco service station. I heard about him from a friend. He has worked on our cars for over 10 years. Many of my friends and employees have used him and he's always been competent, and most of all honest. His waiting room has many post cards, and Christmas cards from loyal customers. He has been known to help people out of jams with their cars. He has a wrecker for towing if needed. What impressed me the most was his willingness to explain everything he's going to do to everyone. He sits in the waiting room at the end of the day on a stool and explains the work to customers coming in to pick up cars, and gives them tips on car care and anything wrong he might have picked up on their car. He truly gives "informed consent" on all jobs. He tells you if there's more than one way to do something, the benefits and possible cost savings of any alternatives. He first came to my attention when a friend was recommended to him for a used car survey. I've used this service myself. He'll give your potential car a good going over and give you an idea of what needs to be fixed and potential trouble. He's also good at spotting what's already been fixed...a friend had a used car dealer take a car there he was considering and Rudy found that the motor had been replaced, the car had been wrecked and the repairs weren't done right. Any minor repairs should be done before delivery...or factored into the price. He's freely disclosed a potential conflict of interest when a car was brought in by a used car dealer that does business with him..and that's appreciated. Rudy is not one to get in over his head. If you have a problem that requires a "specialist" he will send the work out or refer you out. As he says "I'm the family practicioner." On the couple of occasions he's done this for me the people he sent me to were of the same standard.

Rudy is an excellent mechanic- also fair, honest and friendly. My wife and I have used his shop for years with great satisfaction. We drive a little farther to get to him but it is worth it.

I have depended on Rudy and his staff to work on my used cars for years. Being a single mother and totally lacking in car maintenance knowledge, I needed to be confident that my mechanic be thorough in his work and would treat me honestly and fairly. A friend recommended Rudy and I have been happily using his services for years.

I've been here three times for repairs on my Jeep. They always explain exactly what they think is wrong and even save broken parts to show me later. Their estimates are to the dollar. I've always felt comfortable going to them. I just wish they were open on Saturdays.
