Abdon's has worked on both my wife's van and my car. My wife's van has almost 150K and for an american made van, that's preety good. Jim's first suggestion is how can he fix something rather than always replace something. His prices are fair and he explains exactly what he will do before I get the bill. The only problem is trying to get a time to drop off your car. It always seems packed. Also no Saturday hours. The best part is he is within steps to the Wollaston T stop, so I drop off my vehicles and head to work on the T. He has been in business since the 70's and you can tell by the way you are treated here. Highly recommended.

The owner, Jim, is an incredibly honest mechanic with an unbelievable memory. His shop is located a block away from the red line Wollaston stop and if you need to rent a car Enterprise is only two blocks away. I've never had a problem with Jim or any of his work. Only problems is he's not open on the weekends (given that he's open from 7am until 6pm Mon-Fri it's tough to blame him!).

Jim is honest and competent. He's always courteous to me, a female who doesn't know much about cars, when I have questions on any repairs. His prices are very reasonable. He lets you know when a particular repair can be done cheaper, even when it means sending you to a different shop. I've been going to his shop for the past 3 years and recommend him highly.
