I actually lived right next door to these guys for 2 years years-suffice it to say, I had a great situation! No matter who fixed my car, the problem was explained clearly, the offending part hauled from the trash pile for close inspection-they were polite, quick and totally accomodating. They start work early in the morning 6 days a week, this I know from inhaling fumes and waking up to revving engines and screeching from about six feet away. Yes, hard to wake up to on Saturday, but completely forgiveable when the next car problem arrived on schedule to blow through my savings account. A side note-as a woman looking for a mechanic, I was really pleased to find this garage-a big thumbs up on that end.

My overall experience George at Somerville Auto was a positive one. Going into it, I had a good idea about what was wrong with my car. George came to the same conclusions I had (my rack was shot), so I feel that he was honest in his diagnosis. If, hell, I drive a Ford, **WHEN** my car breaks down again, I won't have any reservations about bringing it over to Somerville Auto.

George was very honest and gave a very reasonable price when I went to him (I've only gone once so far). I totally recommend him. Another mechanic told me my 1995 Saturn SL needed a new clutch and new master/slave cylinders, and, with taking my whole transmission apart, quoted me a fortune. I called around. George gave me the best price for parts and the least chatting on the phone so I went to him. I told him what the other mechanic said needed done. Lucky I did. He was totally honest and told me my car only needed the cylinders, nothing else. He could have done all the work on my car if he wanted to (the quote on the work was $900). Instead he fixed my car for a total of $280 (about $150 for the cylinders, I believe). Needless to say, I thanked him for running an honest business. It's nice to know I can trust him. I highly recommend him as an honest mechanic. He's right across from Maaco, next to Market Basket.

I have been going to Somerville Auto Repair over 3 years. My car always gets fixed the first time it goes in and it's not very pricey. Eeryone is freindly and very helpful. I would recommend them to everyone.
