Used SRS from around '00-'06 with several VWs and Audis and overall the service was good. They are very knowledgeable and do both general maintenance and tuning/racing projects- I especially appreciated their recommendations on quality go-fast parts. Had a few serious quality control issues during general repairs that resulted in several return trips and delays (e.g. oil leaked out on ride home and then coolant leaked out on a separate occasion during ride home). They responded promptly to these problems, but I've since sourced general repairs to other shops. Would recommend Shine for tuning/racing services.

I purchased a 2003 certified pre-owned Audi A6 2.7T from Mattie Imports in 2005. They provided good routine service, however when something major happens they want to replace versus diagnose and fix. This approach led me to find an independent shop like Shine Racing and I could not be happier. The staff takes the time to explain the problem, allows you to actually enter the service bay and see the work they are doing to your car. The true test came just a few months after finding them. I had a check engine light that would stay on due to a failing torque converter. Instead of just replacing it, Shine performed a transmission service that involved replacing the transmission fluid, etc. (dealership wanted to install a new transmission). This fixed the problem and the car ran fine. Unfortunately one of the turbos blew 6 months later. They did an outstanding job of removing the engine and transmission, put two new turbos on the car and replaced all of the associated hoses. While the transmission was out, they replaced the torque converter and they noticed the front brake pads were worn and replaced those as well. During the time they had the car, I stopped by to see and take pictures of the project. I am happy to say the car runs better then when I bought it, all thanks to Shine Racing. BTW, Shine's racing history and knowledge is a major advantage when performing routine on Audi and VW's. They can tell you what modifications work, don't work or have a long term impact on the car. They do such great work that if I am ever in the market for a VW or Audi, I will ask them which models and engines to stay away from. Of course, they will be inspecting any Audi or VW I might buy.
