we found Dave thru this site and he has proved to be a great asset. He only does the work that is necessary. Gives his advice freely and it's always good. Was so impressed with the work on the Saab, that we now take the Ford Ranger there too.

I was referred to Dave by a body shop mechanic (who is also fantastic - Bernardi & Sansossio, just down the street from Dave). After going through a ridiculous ordeal with a dealer, I brought my dealer-diagnosed (but still needing repair) car in to Dave who told me that I only needed 1/2 the work done that I had been quoted by the dealer. This ended up costing 1/3 of the original dealer-quoted price! Dave is fantastic: he is more than accommodating when it comes to dropping off and picking up my car; is very up- front and straightforward about the repairs needed, always taking cost and safety into consideration; and explains exactly what the situation is with the car, once he's looked at it, to discuss what I want without pushing me into getting unnecessary work done. And, very importantly, explains what needs to be done and why, without "dumbing- down" the explanation for female customers (of which I am one). This is amazing since, despite the fact that I own a 1966 120-series Volvo on which I do a lot of repairs myself, most mechanics I have encountered speak to me as if there is no way I could ever understand anything about car repair. Besides being a generally nice guy, I have never had any problems with any work I have had done by Dave. My sister, father, and one of my friends go to him, too, and we are all completely happy with the level of service and professionalism Dave has to offer. Thanks, Dave!

Dave is the rare mechanic who is very knowledgable, does the work himself, and has the time to discuss the problem and educate the customer. I took my Scion xB to Dave to check out a noise that the dealer couldn't find or diagnose. He checked the vehicle over, and found several other things that I need to keep an eye on. He wouldn't even accept payment for his time! I can't recommend Dave highly enough.
