The best part about Mark's Auto for me is that it is within walking distance from my home, but he also offers loaner cars. He doesn't recommend unnecessary work on my car and in fact has sometimes chosen not to do something that I thought needed doing, like replacing brakes, because he felt they didn't need it yet.

What more can I say, they are honest mechanics. I just took in a car that I thought had major front-end problems and since I know enough about cars to be slightly dangerous I told them I thought might require a major repair. They called back and told me that it was only a minor repair and it only really needed to be done on one side of the car. I guess they don't have a mechanic's boat fund!

When I was buying my used car I took a few cars over there for them to look at and got great advice. Mark's did some major repairs on my car. Whatever they fixed stayed that way! It also helps that they are really nice people =). You guys are awesome!!!

I bought a pre-owned vehicle through Mark's under the recommendation of several long-time customers local to the small town of Montague. In spite of my high expectations, I have been getting what I judge to be poor service, which I can only guess is due to the fact that I am not a local of Montague, am female, and am of college student age. When I first had the vehicle inspected, it failed because of a bad catalytic converter. I took it took Mark and he replaced it with a universal cat free-of-charge under my 6-month warranty. It passed inspection, but about a month later, the engine light came on again. Since then, I have taken the car back 3 times to have the problem fixed, the check engine light coming on repeatedly. Before the second time, I was calling them for over a month while they blew me off telling me they were waiting for "the part" to come in. Now my 6-month warranty is almost up and I just picked the car up today for the third time, and as I was driving away--behold--the check engine light on again! Mark's Auto--great for locals, but not for college students who don't feel like having their intelligence insulted.
