While visiting friends on Cape Cod, our Prius was parked for 3 days and then wouldn't start. It jump-started fine, and we know the battery is at least 6 years old so we thought it was needing the (small) battery to be replaced. We checked with our independent mechanic where we live in Colorado to determine what a fair price would be and then went to the Hyannis Toyota dealership. Their prices were in keeping with what we'd been told so we authorized the work. However, Hyannis Toyota checked our current battery before doing anything and told us our battery was in excellent condition and we'd probably left a light on that had drained it. With our Colorado license plates evident, Hyannis Toyota could have taken advantage of us, however, they didn't charge us anything and provided a free car wash. Thank you Hyannis Toyota!
