Shop knows Toyotas very well. A mechanic who works at a local toyota dealership moonlights there. Owner has over 20 years of experience. Knowledgeable of all toyota problems (usually will use factory parts). A body man works there one night a week. Sells good used cars-mostly toyotas. Great for exhausts, brakes, tune-ups, oil changes, electrical, suspension, and minor body work. Can be hard to get a hold of at times as owner is also heavily involved in selling used cars. Lower labor rates than chain shops or dealerships.

I've mostly had them do significant repairs rather then the regular oil change. I can't stress how honest they are but for what I term a quick in and out maintenance we use a different shop because you have to leave the car all day. You can't beat DJ's for quality work, however.

I drive an American car, but my two daughters drive the brands in which DJ specializes. When my kids take their cars here, I feel safe for them and my grandchildren. The owner is a very nice man who knows his cars and fixes them well. He is very informative and makes sure you know what is happening about your car. My dealership just closed down; now I have to go to DJ and beg him to fix my American car too. He's a nice guy, I hope he'll become my mechanic too.
