If a part they replaced fails they replace it and don't charge for parts or labor. If, while working on part A and discover that part B needs attention they call you and describe the malfunction and ask your OK to repair/replace. They operate their repair shop in a small town and if they screw something up word gets around fast---so they don't pad the bill, etc.

Friendly and honest. Work was done right first time. Took awhile to get in due to amount of other vehicles being worked on. Will definetly be a repeat client.

The first time we took our '84 Volvo in they found the elusive leak in a difficult to access heater hose but didn't charge extra for the high degree of difficulty of the repair. The 2nd time, we asked for a tune up, they said they it wouldn't do any good, didn't charge us, and recommended a Volvo specialist to check out the problem.

Little jobs, like putting a head light bulb, installing wiper blades, replaceing a windshield washer hose etc are generally done for free. They don't grumble if you bring in your own parts. They always have several used cars for sale for well below the blue book retail price. And, no matter how hard you try, you can't piss'em off.

These guys kept two old clunkers running for years for me. They are fair and nice people to do business with. They have gone out of their way to find used parts when a new part was an unreasonable cost. Only one complaint, their coffee sucks.

Honest, friendly, respectful and informative. Notice little things and take care of for free eg., gas cap, rusty lug nut.

I have had some horrible experiences at other garages and dealerships, but have always felt treated very fairly at Cherry Rum. They have serviced my '91 Corsica for 8 years now. I have never had cause to complain about their work. They have provided me with a range of alternatives when making repair decisions including used or rebuilt parts and opinions on the success of different options. They give me a heads up on servicing that doesn't need to be done urgently but that I should keep in mind. And they make suggestions about repair groupings that might be cost effective - "When you do this, you might want to do that at the same time since we have to get to the same area and it's about time to do it anyway." They have never made me feel my ignorant questions were stupid and they have been very good at explaining things to me and will take me into the garage to show me what they are talking about at times. They also are great about letting me know about anything they find wrong and not doing a repair without checking with me first.

My Toyota recently failed emissions inspection (rare for Japanese cars). Cherry Rum showed up on a list of authorized emissions repair shops and since they were only a half mile away I decided to give them a shot. Ted was very reassuring that it could be fixed and scheduled me for the very next morning. He also told me right up front that if the repair was going to exeed a specific amount he would call me for autho. The next day he got the car in early, found the problem, called me with the price (reasonable), and had me on my way by lunch. Professional and pleasant encounter. Wish I could say the same for a certain Nissan dealer in town that tries to coax you into expensive unnessary servicing.
