I have been a customer of Jeff Horne, owner of A-1 automotive for 17 years. He is honest, hard working, explains everything, calm when one calls from the road with " i hear a strange noise". (doesn't say "turn up the radio", but "stop by on your way home!!!"). He has been at the same site for over thirty years and the majority of his customers have been going to him for years. I have recommended Jeff to friends and they do the same. He has customers from the surrounding towns as well as those who can walk to him. He is still tending my 1998 Camry with 165,000 and insists 220,000 is possible. My 2005 Camry has never been to the dealership!!! Only to Jeff. One of his mechanics has been with him for over 25 years and he is as great as Jeff. I highly recommend your readers to go to Jeff!

I found this mechanic on here and called him on a very snowy and cold morning because my 2004 Dodge Stratus wouldn't start in the cold and I had finally given up waiting for it to fix itself. He was friendly on the phone and told me to call AAA to have it towed in. It was towed to his shop at 12:30pm and by 1:30 he had called me with an estimate and diagnosis. Around 4pm the same day he called to inform me that it needed further work ( it was throwing codes) and asked if i wanted to go ahead with it. He said it would be ready by 5pm but was willing to stay late if I couldn't get there by close. He even offered to come get me ( i live in the same town) if I needed a ride! By 6pm I drove my car off the lot. He isn't the cheapest mechanic around but he is nice and friendly and patient and explained each and every item on the invoice. All his work is garunteed. I will never take my car to anyone else!
