After Katrina Terry semi-retired and moved to a smaller site. While the company is "Rising Sun" he does a lot of VW work and is the only one on the Northshore who will do Audis (including the VW dealer). He kept me updated on the several overlapping problems with my Audi TT and has the proper diagnostics tools. His final price came in very close to my estimate and way below what an Audi dealer would charge. He is now the only employee and I got the impression he would rather have a customer for life than run someone thru for the cash flow. The day after the work was done the car was on the road in the Gustav great escape and perfomed perfectly.

I called Terry at Rising Sun because a few years back one of my perineal Mardi Gras visitors from Michigan lost his faculties and found a curb, mangling the control arm and assorted other components of his $500 Chevy Cavalier. Rather than take advantage of a motorist stranded far from home, for about $200 Terry found a control arm and other parts in a junkyard and in no time had Pete back on the road, where he continues to be a menace to this day. Last week my 1998 Tacoma 4x4 fired a spark plug out of the head in into the hood, while returning home from work in heavy traffic. Apparently I had cross threaded it when I changed the plugs several thousand miles ago. I had it towed to a Toyota dealer and they quoted $1400 to remove the head, drill, tap, and install a helicoil in the stripped spark plug hole. I called Rising Sun Imports and Terry explained that while removing the head was the most conservative way to proceed, there were a few "tricks of the trade" which enabled an experienced mechanic to do the job with the head in place, with minimal risk of leaving debris in the engine. I am happy to report that the vehicle is running as good as new and my repair bill came to $255 including new plugs, wires, and a tuneup.

The first time I visited Rising Sun was to replace the front door handle on my wife's 1997 Acura RL. The dealer had wanted around $600, Firestone wanted $450, and Rising Sun fixed it for less than $200.. Same great results w/ air conditioning.. Thorough diagnostics, thorough explanations, fair pricing. I'm VERY impressed w/ these guys and suggested to my daughter that her next car be a Japanese brand (their speciality) just so she could take it to RS when problems arise..
