Our Toyota Seinna van with 100,000 miles was not wanting to run upon starting. We were planning an 18 hr, non-stop trip with 4 kids 6 years & under and we needed a confident remedy. When Jimmy could not replicate the problem, he offered to replace a part associated with this kind of a problem at a cost of $500+; however, he was very reluctant to do so. Instead of ripping me off for $500+, he simply cleaned a part for $75. The van ran like a dream during the trip and it continues to do so. I'll keep using him, and I highly recommend him. Imagine, an honest mechanic!

Very competent with foreign cars, especially Acura, Honda & Toyoto. Shop has two mechanics in addition to owner. Owner was a service manager for Acura. When changing oil or any other work, inspects car for potential problems. Tends to be a little pricey but work is very professional.

A friend recommended Jimmie Nelson because he had done some work for her and her sister-in-law that was wonderful. She mentioned that he was honest, reliable, and did not charge extremely high prices. My "check engine" light came on and I took it to the Honda dealer. They gave me an estimate of $1700, saying that I needed a new catalytic converter, timing belt, and brake fluid flush. It cost me $83 for them to run it through their diagnostic tests. After that, I heard about Jimmie Nelson and decided to take it to him. After his diagnostic test, he said that there wasn't a problem with my car and it was probably some carbon build- up. He put new spark plugs in and did a flush. The total cost for everything was $100. My car has been running fine ever since. You can bet I'm NOT going to the dealer again. By the way, Mr. Nelson had my car diagnosed and serviced within the same day. DEFINITELY a reputable, honest mechanic.

Jimmy (the owner) is honest and diligent! The work has always been excellent. The one situation where the problem wasn't solved the first time (it was a weird combination of things!), he tried and tried again ... frequently not charging me if he couldn't identify a specific item to fix. You can trust this guy!

Have been using Jimmy for 5+ years now for Hondas and Acuras - always happy with the work and the service. He saved me a bunch of money by letting me know that Honda would probably work with me when our 1999 Accord (104,000 miles) had transmission problems. He recommended that I go back to the dealer and see what they would do. Honda ended up replacing the transmission and all I paid for was labor ($510), and got a 36 mo /36k mile warranty, too. Jimmy didn't have to do that but he's just a good guy. I trust him and he does good work.

Mr. Nelson offered immediate and thorough input on a potential used car purchase over the phone. When I brought the car in for him to examine, he dropped everything even though I was 4 hours late and spent 20 minutes inspecting the vehicle and explaining his observations to me. At the end of it, he did not even want me to pay him anything. Very friendly, completely inspires confidence, and helped me to make a wise decision about purchasing a used car. Fantastic!
