Cork is an outstanding mechanic! He has our 1984 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Station Wagon running better than when we received it from the factory. His prices are reasonable and he stands behind his work. My wife especially likes the fact that she is not treated like an airhead when she deals with Cork. He treats all of his customers with respect and courtesy. He explains in detail what is wrong with your vehicle, what repairs need to be made and how much it will cost. He also lists the repairs in order of priority so that you can have your vehicle repaired according to your budget. Unlike other repair facilities and dealer service centers, he completely diagnoses repairs. Cork fixes what is wrong and never takes the shotgun approach to repairing your vehicle. No repairs are ever made without the owner's consent. In addition to the Chevy, we own a 1990 Toyota Camry and 1997 Ford Thunderbird. Cork is the only one that we trust with our vehicles.

i'd just moved across country and needed a tune up for my toyota truck. i took it first to the dealer repair shop, where they gave me a ridiculously high estimate. i went to cars.com, read the reviews, called several places, and got thoughtful, knowledgable, honest responses to my questions from Cork (i verified the responses with my former mechanic). they heard my concerns, gave me an itemized estimate, provided transportation to/from work, called me during the day to update me on progress, did excellent trouble shooting, and charged me a third of what the dealer wanted. they showed me the parts they changed out, explained what they did and why, and provided thorough service with a smile. i give them two thumbs up.

I received an estimate on brake repair that was lower than competitors prices. Upon payment of services rendered it cost even less than the estimate, and was done in a more timely fashion than expected.

Ironically, I also had just moved across the country and had taken the advice of this website to go to Corks. Before driving across the country, my Subaru dealership had recommended that I needed a transmission seal replaced for ~$900. I phoned Cork's and they said they could fix it for $250. I arrived the next morning, they gave me a ride to where I needed to go, and the car was done the next day. I also asked them to check the brakes; they fixed the transmission seal, tightened the brakes, all for much cheaper than they had indicated on the phone ($180). The place might not be the nicest but from my experience, the mechanics were great and Cork was a friendly, affable person.
