They have worked on our vehicles for many years. We have a 1989 Chev P/U with over 145,000 miles on it. They seem to do a good job, but their invoices are rather pricey. It may be just me, by not keeping track of the costs that they incur. They also work on our "new" 1998 Chev P/U. They seem to respond well. They will give me a ride back home when possible. I live about a mile or so from their shop. They have records on their computer and I keep records of all maintenance for both trucks in a notebook located in the glove box of each vehicle. I was recently charged $348.00 for replacing the waterpump in the 98 pickup. I thought that a charge of $189.00 for labor was rather high, but I said nothing. They do not have the latest shop equipment and it seems that everytime I go there there are "new" employees. Does this suggest something? By in large, I am comfortable with their work but I just want your opinion. I maybe totally out of touch with current costs. Do you have any suggestions? I enjoy listening to your radio program on KRVS, 88.7 FM, which is the local public radio station located on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus. I wish you well and have a nice Christmas. Regards, Sam T Whatley
