Can't answer a lot of the questions as I'm basing this on instinct and LOTS of contact with all kinds of mechanics and garages from sub-species to marvelous. What I know is, this guy (Mac) listens, thinks, asks questions, says he'll call when he locates the problem, etc--and he does call. Also, this work was on a 1949 Ford kustom with a 1988 merc engine and he didn't shy away from it like some of them will (you know, it doesn't look quite like what they're used to) He tried to fix it the less expensive way (Air conditioning) by replacing the compressor clutch, but compressor was shot, so he had go that route. It was not inexpensive, but it was fixed, and I believe it was fair. Also I base my high opinion on the fact you could practically eat off the floor in that place. Small, neat shop. I think he's solid recommendation for anyone in that area. A good mechanic recommended him to me. GW
