Lewis was recommended to us through a local Auto shop. We went to him for a minor thing the first time and we'll never go anywhere else. Lewis is completely honest with us and has always come in right at, if not below his estimate. He'll alert us to other potiential problems and has been very reliable. If there is a time when the issue doesn't seem to get fixed completely the first time, he doesn't charge us labor to correct it (and he keeps looking at it for free till it's fixed!). Our car was in several times over the summer and Lewis worked us in every time. My dad always told me that a good mechanic is worth his weight in gold...Lewis is worth many times his weight in gold.

I was on my way from Oregon to Pennsylvania when my check engine light came on in Manhattan KS. A friend at home checked Cartalk's website to help locate a local mechanic. I called 3 different shops and each quoted me a price to look at it. Lewis on the other hand said come on down and he'd look at it no charge. He ran the test in less then 10 minutes. He said it was registering a misfire which just meant one of my spark plugs was low. He said I'd be fine to PA (which I was). I was also low on windshield wiper fluid. He topped it off - no charge and sent me on my way. As a single woman traveling cross-country he put my mind at ease. Thanks Lewis. I would highly recommend you.

I needed new brake pads, an oil change and a tire patched before a trip to Colorado. Lewis made time for me on Tuesday even though he wasn't taking appointments until Wednesday when I was leaving. He rotated the tires for me free of charge. He also told me the rear brake pads wouldn't need to be replaced for another 30K miles so not to worry about them. I'll need new struts up front soon, and I will definitely be returning to this shop for them. Definitely treated me well especially for me being female (I can't believe I still feel I have to add this in this day and age). Ask him about his El Camino. He's into racing.

They were quick, competent and cheaper than the last place I took the car.
