The "mechanics" at G&G Automotive are con-artists and should be avoided at all costs (because it will COST you precious time and money). I went to this dealership in the summer of 1999 because my Pontiac Grand Am was overheating. Simple enough, right? Wrong. Instead of having this problem fixed, the clowns at the dealership installed a new converter without my permission! Apparently these thieves thought I would be an easy target, being a 20 year old female with an 83 year old female grandmother footing the bill. What they didn't count on was the fact that I happen to know a thing or two about cars and that my father happens to be a lawyer. Needless to say, the GM had a hellish day thanks to my father and myself, and we finally had the radiator flushed at no charge (which was should have been done once it had been established that the thermometer was not sticking). We did not have to pay for the "new" converter (which I seriously doubt was ever installed since there had never been a problem with it and they conveniently "could not find" the old one back). Had it not been for my father and my own interest in cars, I would undoubtedly had been back into the shop the next day with an overheated car, at which point they probably would have tried to sell me a transmission. I can only hope that other consumers in Dodge City will run across this review, and that hopefully no one else will have to endure the same predicament I did. I have no relation to this dealership and these mechanics, and this was my first (and only) experience with them, so I have no reason for bias. Please, save your time, your money, and your sanity and encourage your friends and family to AVOID the scam artists by ALL MEANS NECESSARY!!!
