It is rare to find a GREAT car dealer service department-- I've lived in Chicago, Muncie, and Northern Indiana and had not had much luck with finding a dealer I could trust, in fact I've had some really bad experiences...until I went to Jim Dobson. They are truly great...they are thorough, honest, they can always fit me into their schedule, and every time I've needed it, they've had a rental car available for me. Ray and Jeff are true professionals. Their prices are reasonable--definitely low for a dealer, and you get such great service for the money. I have one story I can relate, from the weekend I was going to drive from Winamac to Muncie for my college graduation ceremony. I was a December graduate but the big spring ceremony was held in May, so I needed to make a 100 mile trip to get there. My '94 T-bird (115,000 miles but still the BEST car) started smoking and sending a foul odor into the car, and the engine light came on, on the way home from work. I nursed it over to Dobson at 4:45 on a Friday...they were able to take a quick look at it (it was burning raw fuel!), get me set up with a rental van, and send me on my way. It's really because of them that I got to attend my graduation at Ball State without having to resort to hitchiking! Jim Dobson's service department is really the first car repair place that I've been able to trust. They're honest, do what's needed, and also important they are good at recordkeeping--receipts are always complete and understandable. If you're anywhere within an hour of Winamac, it's worth the trip! John
