KURT HAS WORKED ON BOTH MY GMC TRUCK AND MY SONS ELANTRA. WETHER IT IS BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT OR TUNE-UP OR TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT THE WORK HAS ALWAYS BEEN DONE WELL AND CLEAN WITH MINIMUM DOWN TIME. I HAD THE TRUCK INTO A GMC DEALER AT ONE TIME FOR A PROBLEM WITH PING. THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIX IT BUT THE PINGING STARTED THE DAY IT GOT THE TRUCK BACK THEY TRIED AGAIN AND FAILED. THAT'S WHEN I FOUND KURT. HE'S NEARTHE HOUSE AND I DRIVE BY GOING TO AND FROM WORK. I STOPPED IN AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE TRUCK AND MY PINGING WAS HISTORY. MY SON AND I HAVE GONE TO HIM EVER SINCE.

I didn't answer the questions about how they handle a screw up since I have not had one yet. And I am a male so I don't know if they treat females the same. But I do think they are very friendly and honest so I am sure they get high marks in both these areas. I do know they don't take advantage of me. I have them check items on my vehicles (breaks, suspension, tires, etc) and they do not needlessly tell me I need anything replace. I will be told for instance, "checked your breaks and they look good for probably another 5,000 miles". I am really satisfied with their work and have been going there for about 15 years.

I've been going to Stein's (Kurt now, and his father and uncles before him) for nearly 40 years. Kurt carries on the tradition of being one of the most trustworthy and capable mechanics around, particularly with older cars. I wish there were more hardworking and conscientious mechanics like him. The only downside is that he is insanely busy and you may have to get in line to get his time.

KURT IS THE MOST HONEST AND REASONABLE TECHNICIAN YOU WILL EVER FIND! ONLY COMPLAINT, HE IS SO BUSY YOU HAVE TO WAIT YOUR TURN TO SEE HIM.
