Over the course of about ten years, I took my Chevette, Ford Ranger, and my wife's Dodge Intrepid (notice I denounced all ownership in the Chrysler product!). I am reasonably competent with car repairs, but did not have a place to work on them, so I took the cars to them for most major work. G&L personnel always approached the problem by troubleshooting cheapest components first, and explained the problem clearly and offered alternatives if they were available. The Interpid tranny was slipping, and I hadn't found the leak myself. We took it by, the mechanic looked at it for 30 seconds, pulled out his screwdriver and tightened up 2 hose clamps I should have seen. He wouldn't take any payment. While changing the front driver side shock, the lug snapped right off its mounting. They took the time to research the problem, and found a repair kit for the Ranger. They were a little slow when they were still working solely out of the Sunoco station(only 2 bays at the time), but have added 4 bays at the rear of the building which seemed to speed things up. Regardless of length of time, they have always provided excellent service at a reasonable price. I have never had to take a vehicle repaired at G&L back for follow-up repair. Highest recommendation-I would send my wife or female friend/relative here for service. I hope I can find a similar garage here in Indy.
