This morning I woke up to stormy skies and my electric windows would not roll up! I am embarrassed to admit that I had no idea how to change my fuse (I'm playing the 'female driver' card). I called and they said sure they could look at it right away (I was late for work)so I drove over there. They replaced my blown out fuse, taught me how to do it myself for next time, gave me a new fuse in case it blows again and didn't charge me a cent. I have never had an experience like that and it solidified a customer for life--or for as long as I live here. By the way, I originally found them on this website, being a Car Talk fan who just moved to a new town and needed an oil change.

Lucked into finding these guys when I ordered tires through an internet shop, and Allstar was listed as an authorized installer. The owner, Mark, is a former mechanic from a Honda dealership, and specializes in Hondas and Acuras, but I've seen them work on a variety of different makes. Mark does an outstanding job of explaining what's wrong with the car if there's a problem, sometimes using show and tell with the part itself to explain more complex technical problems so that even laymen can understand it. He's shown himself to be completely trustworthy, and I have no problem recommending him to female customers, as he's been considerate and honest in all of his dealings with myself and my wife. We moved about 45 minutes away from him about 2 years ago, but we still take our cars to him for service, even for simple oil changes, because it's worth the peace of mind. I could not recommend a mechanic more strongly, and I've been fortunate enough to have met several excellent mechanics.

Mark has worked on my Land Rover and Subaru WRX over the years, and I always felt that I knew the work would be done properly. I only wish that I still lived close enough to use Mark as my regular mechanic as his shop does a great job.

Allstar has worked on 3 of my Honda's and BMW. They are competent, friendly, and honest. In fact, I can say they are the only mechanics I have really trusted and unconditionally recommended in 30 years of driving. I know my car is being repaired correctly at an honest price. If you want to sleep well, this is the place to take your car.
