I have a 1995 dodge caravan that was leaking antifreeze. I had it towed to Dobbs because it was over heating and leaking coolant as fast as I put it in. When the mechanic brought my van in, he showed me where the leak was coming from. It looked like that it was leaking from the timing cover. He explained to me that the water pump was leaking and need to be replaced. He also said that since I had 110,000miles on the van, he recommended that the timing belt be replaced while we were there. He said that there would not be any addititonal labor charged since we were already there. Once he had the timing cover off, he noticed that the camshaft seals and crank seal was leaking. There was a slight additional labor charge, but worth it. He also showed me that my valve covers were leaking. At this time I thought "My god, this engine is a POS, and is leaking everthing." But the mechanic explained to me that everything was preety much general maintence and they were very reasonable on the price. The shop worked with me and gave me a estimate before the oil leaks were repaired. With out the detailed explinations and the mechanic showing everthing wrong with my car, I probably would of thought they were ripping me off. I thank all the people at Dobbs for working with me and being reasonable with there prices. I have not had any problems with the my van since the repairs.
