I am 56 years old and lived in the Rockford/Park area all my life. I have been to many shops for repairs and have had all sorts of experiences with those shops. Some lousy, some good. BUT, Nikki Wolfe (owner-female) has consistantly the greatest shop of all time. Her one mechanic, Richard, a very soft spoken gentleman, has always been the one who has worked on my vehicles. I can't imagine the other guys there being less than Richard in quality. They are a very busy shop but always working to get you in and out and on your way asap. If you use this shop and Richard says this or that about what ailes your vehicle, believe it!!!! He knows! Their rates are great and service supurb. If you have your own parts to be installed, just tell them and they will use them...no problems with that at all. I have been going there for about 3-4 years now and no one else but them, will ever touch my vehicles (of which I have three). They have one convenience drawback. They are not open on Saturday. But thats ok...they deserve the rest. Oh, and they have no towing service that I am aware of. If you need a tow, you can call Bob at 815 282-tows. He's a super guy in the area too. In the questionaire on this site, they ask if they stand by screw-ups they make? This shop has never made one to have to go back and fix. This is a 10 star shop.

I have had tires & repairs on my Ford Expedition 4x4 (Had since 1,432 miles [demo]/Now 186K+ miles) numerous times with Park Tire & Auto. It was for tires back in early '01 how I became aquainted with Nikki (owner)& Vinnie, as well as Richard (excellent mechanic). I put on some new tires again (with wings) that I had always been loyal to, (138K+ miles/plus 2 other vehicles same brand). They (PT&A) could not get a set to balance decently, (Tried 3 sets). At the same time another tire company was in the news for bad tires, (I guess even stones get fired). I finally put on Yokohamas (quieter, 48K & still going/& balanced! on a 4x4). None of this was their fault, (PT&A), however Nikki & the "gang" worked though this. They have done the upper & lower ball joints, alignments, etc. always great work. I have always been at a distance from (PT&A), however if Nikki & "gang" added Sat. &/or Sun. she would get more work from me. (Just a thought) I am mechanical as I did grow up around a shop, however I choose not to do it. I prefer to keep the skin on my knuckles. I have & will continue to refer people to Park Tire & Auto. (815)633-2799--tell her Bill sent you.
