One etime Sonomatic was unable to repair a problem peculiar to a certain brand car because it involved purchasing a computer model that required programming. They suggested I go to the dealer for the repair and gave me specific instructions for describing the problem. When the dealer called me about another unrelated problem the mechanic "discovered" I called Sonomatic because they were so familiar with the car. Sonomatic told me they did not believe there was such a problem and to not authorize the additional repair. I followed their advice and the so-called additional problem never manifested itself as long as I owned the vehicle.

I was referred to Sonamatic from FJS Automotive in Brookfield IL (Frank at FJS couldn't fix a broken tie rod, but referred me to Mike Sr. at Sonamatic who could- and Frank gave me a quote for free!). I was initially put off with the potential $85 "diagnostic fee" (when Frank and others didn't charge me any diagnostic fees) but Mike didn't charge me that, gave me a good price, gave me no surprises, no excuses, it was done on time (& Mike Jr. keeps the shop open until 6pm- what sons go thru for the business). It rides great, and so far, no pieces are falling off. And to boot, I got a thank you card in the mail a week later thanking me for the business! Tell me, does Click and/or Clack do this?
