An honest shop in Chicago? Say it ain't so! Pong's on Clark Street (north of Wrigley field) is a dream come true. These guys are about the best in town. Their repairs often involve extra work they refuse to charge for. Their referrals for work they don't do are exemplary - cheap, reliable people who will do the job right. In short, Pong's is the real deal, and about the best deal Chicago has to offer car owners

Mr. Pong is great. I brought the car in recently because of an ignition/starting problem. He asked me at least 10 questions and then took it for a test drive. He then determined that it didn't need repairing, and that it made no sense replacing parts until I couldn't start it at all. Anyone else would have told me I needed a new fuel pump, alternator or who knows what. He treated me just superbly.

I had my car towed to Pong's based upon Car Talk recommendations. The problem turned out to be an air intake sensor. I thought that the owner was very polite, knowledgeable and the work was completed withing one day. The shop is also within easy walking distance of the Brown Line. In terms of price, the repair cost $400 which for that part, is slightly above average. Overall, I would consider them to be highly reliable and recommend them.

We've brought our 1999 Lexus RX 300 and 1998 MBW 328I to Pong import for several years. MR.Lee brings a broad experience, honesty and a friendly manner to every customer and car he services. Pong Import is a place we trust completely.

They kept my wife's 1984 VW running to well beyond 200,000 miles. Great work on my wife's new 1999 Honda which had an A/C problem.

Good guy. Been there a long while. Very organized, takes time with customers, very clean shop, computerized. We have been very satisfied with his work. Cost? I don't know how to evaluate whether they charge fairly because I haven't taken my car anywhere else for years, nor has my husband. Pong appears to work on domestic as well as foreign cars.
