Steve discussed options with us that could save money & indicates which he thinks is best & why. For example he first tried caulking the tail light assembly on our 1987 Volvo which was cracked and retaining water and shorting out the light bulbs. We have older cars, 1987 Volvo, 1993 Nissan & 1997 Saturn, and Steve lets us know the repairs we have to make versus the work we can defer. I feel comfortable talking with Steve directly where as with previous shops I would always make sure my husband spoke with the mechanics because I felt they didn't speak to a woman in as much detail. Steve always has our repairs completed before his committed completion time except on one occasion when a new part he used failed and he couldn't get another one the same day. And in that instant, he said he'd put the old part back on and see if he could get it ready. We didn't accept this offer as we didn't need the car back right away but it was reassuring that he would have done this had we needed it.
