One of our cars (the VW Passat) has a lot of miles on it and is taking in oil around the valve guides. Other than that it runs very well. It uses about a quart of oil every 1500 miles. When I took it to have it repaired, a job that would have made the new boat a real possibility, I was told that the oil consumption was not all that bad and would cost one heck of a lot more than a little oil. That was 20,000 miles ago. He was right and saved me a lot of money. Anyone else would have taken me for the bucks, but he didn't. This is the kind of a guy I can trust.

This shop is simply the finest example of decent American mechanics I have ever seen in forty years of driving and trying to keep various fussy/well-worn machines running. Dale Frerichs can fix damn near anything, will get salvage parts if you're on a "budget", won't fix it if it doesn't need it, and is as trusted as a member of the family. (If you see an older gentleman hanging around, it's Dale's dad - this is a family business, and he started it.) Whether it's a Porsche 911 or a beat-up Ford, drag it in there, and just pay the MAN! Easy to get to, close to I-29 in Sioux City, Iowa; call 712-252-1503.

I've had them work on several Hondas, 94&96 Preludes & 02 S2000. They do great work and were recommended to me by my Father who had them work on his Subaru and other vehicles.
