Randy is an independent owner/operator who has worked in GM garages but works on a number of makes and models as well as tractors and other engines. He is honest and takes care of his customers. He also restores classic cars and sells used cars. I have bought 3 vehicles from Randy and they have all been great. He has a modern shop out at the family farm on highway 218 south of La Porte City, IA. He makes an annual trip to Arizona to buy cars. If he buys a car at auction and then after inspection doesn't trust it he takes it back to auction. He won't sell junk. He has always been honest with me and always tells me and a lot of times shows me what he has to repair. He works hard to make sure he gets repairs done quickly and correctly. If you need a great, honest mechanic or are looking for a quality used car--Randy Johnson is your man.
