Our family has been taking all of our vehicles to Orlando for many years. He took care of my car and my siblings cars when they were old and not that great, but he kept them going. Now that we all have newer cars he does just as honest and good work as ever. He has always been honest about whether it was necessary or not to fix a problem. He also makes suggestions about how, if he wanted, to my husbad could fix something himself and save the money. Not many mechanics are honest about repairs that can be done easliy by a reasonably handy person ( which is all my husband is). We recommend him hardily to anyone in need of a good and honest mechanic.

Orlando is a fantastic mechanic. He runs a simple one-man, no frills shop that has kept our clunkers running and new cars serviced. He's the type of independent mechanic who everyone recommends. He's fixed things that have stumped other mechanics and even the dealer. When those places have suggested $1,000+ repairs, Orlando has found a simple problem and fixed it for much less. He'll show you the broken part and explain what is needed. He's also very friendly, good natured, and a University of Iowa grad. Some of us are considering nominating him for sainthood.

Orlando is a great guy in general to have work on your car. I'm picky about who works on my car and he is one of the very few mechanics who I would have work on my truck. The only problem I had was every time I would take my truck in, he would blame all the problems on my larger tires. In my opinion, Orlando does not like to work on any modified car/truck, even if only slightly modified. I have since switched mechanics, but would take my Camry to him in a pinch.
