I had a 83 Buick Century 4 cylinder LEMON. It was purchansed in 1997 with 52 tho miles (right!) from a little old lady who only drove it on Sunday (to church... I don't think so) It had a "small" oil leak. Mel's replaced the following equipment with in the first 18 months I had the car: alternater, exhaust, rebuilt the transmission, rebuilt the engine and replaced a piston and valve after that. He couldn't figure what was causing the engine repairs would not hold. Mel never let me pay for the overhaul. He said, "I never got it right, you shouldn't have to pay for it." The best advice he gave was "get another car." The next car I purchased was inspected and approved by Mel BEFORE I bought the car... The first and worst mistake I made when buying the Century was not having him look at it first.
