Aloha, Water pump hit the dust on my 96 Subaru Outback Wagon while I was checking the waves at Laniakea. I Towed the car to K-Bros. They replaced the water pump and rightfully recommended to also replace the timing belt (good idea, I think). I believe they did a very good job in a timely manner and even gave me the old parts so that I could show them to my physics students (good examples of angular momentum and friction concepts). They even allowed me to keep the car at the shop for the entire work week until I could drive to the North Shore from town. The price was between 5 and $600 and very fair I believe for the work they did! They turned a tough situation for me into a reasonable one and I am grateful for their hard work, fairness and diligence. Mahalo!!!

john pak is an excellent mechanic. he has fixed several model cars. problems were electrical, mechanical and routine maintenance. gives a reasonable estimate of cost and completion. gives a good explanation of problem. the repair is not an open ended opportunity for add on cost. be specific in request for repair.
