Sam Mall owns the shop and supervised the repair of my 95 Chevy truck many times (after another mechanic told me to sell it before it broke down). When every shop I called was telling me $800 to repair a leak in a brake line, Sam and his guys did it for $76.00. When another shop told me I had a cracked head gasket, or maybe needed a new freeze plug (hundreds to a thousand $ or so), Sam and his guys found I needed a new plastic peice on the antifreeze system (about 70 cents, plus a bit of labor). The shop wasn't so good at seeing problems before they came up (new belts, etc.) but on the other hand they never ever tried to sell me something I could live without. Their price was always less than others, and they have more work than they can get to, but they always put me on the schedule for the next available spot. When I was heading out of town and found a problem (broken tie rod on the axle) Sam got me right in and let me (and my dog) hang out in the waiting room for an hour while they fixed it. Can't say enough good things, but don't tell too many people... he'll have to open a bigger shop! - they work mostly on American cars, but call him if you have a question!
