I took in my '91 Miata to get the a/c fixed as it was blowing hot air instead of cool air. I told the owner Dennis that I'd like to have the a/c liquid added to the car so I can have cold air. He asked if I'd like to check for a leak, too, at a relatively nominal cost. I said no; just put in the liquid. He said, that wouldn't be right. He'd check for the leak and just not charge me. He even took the time to show me where the leak was allowing me to wear the super cool yellow glasses & lit the engine with the black light. When I checked out, he just charged me for the a/c liquid and not at an outrageous cost either. Since then, I've brought in my 4Runner and the Miata again for other maintenance items. Each time he's taken the time to tell me what he was going to do and how it will help my car. He's a good 1/2 hour to 45 minutes away from me, but I'll keep going to him because he's won my trust and my cars work well, too! Plus, I can leave his shop with a money still in my pocket book... how cool is that. (The last time I went to the dealership for similar repairs, I left crying because of the cost at checkout.) Anyway, he has my recommendation - perhaps you'll recommend him, too.
