I work in the Homewood Shopping Center Complex in which Hall's Chevron is located. One morning my car seemed to be overheating according to the gauge and as I pulled into work, it seemed to struggle and then finally was steaming as I parked. I chose Hall's originally because it was literally 50 feet away from my car. I got online and was relieved to find a great recommendation here at CarTalk. Well, I have to say that I was very satisfied with my own experience. I walked over there in the middle of the morning and explained my situation. They were able to take a look at the car a few hours later, called me back when they said they would and quoted me a price I thought was pretty reasonable. I paid $393 for a brand new radiator, them re-charging my battery (free), moving my car to their station (free), labor, and the water pump belt that broke originally causing the issue and the radiator to burst. Roughly three hours later (about an hour earlier than quoted even!) they called me back and said I could come pick up my car. I have to say that I was very satisfied overall with the entire experience and am pleased to say that I would recommend them without hesitation. Everyone there was very polite and professional and treated me with respect and courtesy. I felt very lucky to wind up with my bad situation in their very capable hands. Thank you Hall's Chevron!

I've been meaning to write these guys a reccomendation since I left GA 2 years ago. This is a great shop for general automechanic work. I took my 1986 Chevy S-10 there several times and they always did a great job. I am a woman (and was also a student) and I always got fair and honest treatment. Another female, student friend of mine also went there with her Mitsubishi Mountaineer and got great service. I was especially impressed with them when, 2-days before I was supposed to leave to move back to NY, a friend told me my clutch was going. I got my truck right over to Hall's where they rushed me in and had it fixed by the morning of the day I was supposed to leave for around $400 (if you've never had a clutch replaced - that's a good price). In addition, on a visit to Athens with my mom's 1992 GMC Jimmy which had SEVERAL mchanical problems, they really helped me out and made sure that I was going to get back home.
