Randy Richens ("Rich - ens") & Sons is a thoroughly reliable, quality generalist, auto mechanic shop. Randy (the "& Son") heads a small crew. He started working with his dad about 40 years ago, taking over the business when "old Mr. Richens" died a few years ago. Randy has a wall full of certificates from advanced training, said wall also adorned by a giant taxidermied fish. If he cannot do the work or demands on his time won't let him, he tells you up front. He also will try his best to find a day and time that will accomodate. Randy gladly explains the work to you as in-depth as you want to know it. And, your car is ready when or before he says it will be. He has terrific relationships with parts suppliers, et al, a real benefit to us customers. The shop has much long-time trade of people who have taken several generations of cars there. Richens' is well run and friendly. This is an old fashioned shop run by a highly skilled mechanic. You feel confident taking your car there.
