Tom is great. Very accomodating. I brought my Jetta in with an engine light on and my taillights out. We are still working on the engine light problem, but he fixed the tail lights right away and still hasn't charged my a dime. For the first time since I have owned the Jetta I feel like I have an honest mechanic working on it.

Tom has a fun sense of humor, tolerates and even connects with my dog accompanying me always, and looks like the cute actor Richard Dreyfuss! This summer when our area here in south Florida was hit by two hurricanes, his shop was without electrical power or air conditioning for more than two weeks (as many of us were), but he was open for business and doing his best without the aid of power tools. I had a dead battery and called him. He came over within 15 minutes and got my car started. Pretty impressive service for a fellow who was trying to cope with the aftermath of the storms at his persoanl home and keeping his business running under extremely adverse situations........and he still had a cheerful disposition!

I first met Tom, the owner, when my Delco battery that I had purchased in Nashville, TN (where I was living)'died'. Tom's shop was the closest to me to get new one with credit on short lived one. That was 11 years ago. He has kept my Chevrolet working well for 8 years. I had him check out a trade in Mercury Sable for me three years ago. Although, I've had only minor repairs, well, brakes, I guess was biggest, he has kept this car in shape for me, too. He has one of his fellows drive me home (I do live rather close), and then when repairs are done, he brings the car to me! As a single retired school teacher, that is a big help. He keeps the records on his computer. I have referred my son to his garage, also. Tom figured out a problem that my son and his 'mechanic buddies' were struggling with for some time. His shop is not glamorous, so I know I'm not paying for a primo location and fancy waiting room/office, etc. He is literate. His wife is an attorney, so I am under the impression that he is an honest fellow.
