THIS IS A FAMILY BUSINESS WITH A TOP REPUTATION IN THE AREA. DICK MAXWELL, THE FATHER, REGULARLY SPEAKS ON THE LOCAL RADIO STATION'S TALK RADIOS SHOW, REGARDING THE CALLER'S AUTO PROBLEMS. (NOT AS FUNNY AS CLICK & CLACK) HE IS ALSO ASKED TO DO REPAIRS ON OLDER CARS, PARTICULARLY PACKARDS. CERTIFYING AGENCY CERTIFICATES ARE ON DISPLAY FOR ALL MECHANICS. SHOP IS SMALL (5 LIFTS) BUT EFFECTIVE. PRICING FOLLOWS THE BOOK STANDARDS, BUT THERE ARE SPECIALS FOR LOB, ETC. SMALL PROBLEMS, TAKING LITTLE TIME ARE OFTEN DONE GRATUITOUSLY.

These guys know what they're doing and are very businesslike. They're personable and I've used them several times with my former car, a bought-new '84 Voyager on which I put 190K miles. I've not heeded any work on my current '00 Saturn SW2 but when I do, I'll take it to them. In 17 years I haven't had any problem I couldn't handle myself with my two "Yugo" FIATs, but if I ever do, it'll be taken to the Maxwells, too.

At 70,000 miles, I expected to need a complete tuneup, including brakes, transmission fluid change, belts, etc. I was told a tuneup was unnecessary, and the only thing required were new brake pads and an oil and transmission fluid change. These folks are honest, polite and very competent!
