Erwin's Garage fixed all the problems created by another loser mechanic in town (Adam's Street Muffler). He was very gracious and even though the loser mechanic did horrible and life threatening work, Erwin did not bad-mouth him or his business. The owner, Erwin, loves his work, is a perfectionist and will not keep any mechanic on his team that does shabby work. Highly recommended.

I had a great experience with Erwin. The owner/mechanic is very friendly, easy to talk to, and keeps a very clean shop! I brought my Honda Civic in for a general tune up and requested a brake inspection. I thought I would need my brakes replaced, which I told him. Erwin gave me a fair quote for the job. It turned out I didn't need to replace the brakes and Erwin was honest to tell me that and not pressure me to feel that I had to have the extra work done.

I've been taking my cars to Erwin since he was the mechanic at the BP station on N. Monroe St. years ago. He knows I'm not a mechanic and could easily persuade me to replace parts or fix things that might not need repair, but he never has tried that. In fact, if he notices that something might need repair in the next few months, he'll give me a heads-up rather than advise me to go ahead and fix it now. To illustrate his dedication, I'll tell you one quick story. He once had replaced several parts in my Mazda engine, and since it had had an oil leak, the engine was very dirty. He washed off the engine for me. When I picked up the car at nearly 7:00 PM, it was running rough, so he lifted the hood and started checking parts of the engine, one by one, to figure out what was wrong. Just as I was calling for someone to come pick me up, he found the problem; a tiny valve had a drop of water in it. He dried the valve, and the car ran great. I was convinced that he would have stayed until 9:00 that night to figure out the problem; he strives to be the best.
