Enrique has exceptional diagnostic skills. Sometimes more expensive, but well worth it. Expert on old VWs and Volvos. Also a real nice guy.

I've been taking cars to Enrique for over 10 years so, although I characterized myself as a "biased customer," I'm also his friend after all this time. Enrique is honest and here's an example: My VW's odometer broke and the next time I went to the shop I asked him to fix or replace it. When I piced the car up and asked about the repairs, including the odometer, it wasn't fixed and here's why: He knows me enough to know that I don't NEED an odometer, so he didn't fix it since it's the same part as the speedometer, which was not broken. "When the speedometer breaks, we'll replace the part. Why spend the money when half of it works?!" I liked that! Also, I sort of lied above when I said he treats male and female customers the same. After more than 10 years I now get a little peck on the cheek, which I've NEVER seen him give a man. But then I've never heard a man complain about it, either. After nearly 17 years I sold my VW and bought a used Mercedes-Benz. Enrique is still my mechanic. One last thing: Enrique was co-founder of the Palmetto Bugs VW club, and with Enrique's help the club has raised over $48,000 for the local branch of Habitat for Humanity.

We've been taking our VWs to Enrique for 15 years and he's been very good to us. He's friendly, reliable, knows all about old and new VWs. If something isn't right, he'll work with you until it is. He's extra friendly with women but he never is anything but very respectful. His restored old VWs are awesome.

I not only had occasion to have Enrique work on a couple of VW products; i.e., Rabbit and Schirocco ... but purchased a car from him .. and he was completely fair and understanding to his not so knowledgeable female. I have also had him check out a couple of purchases in recent years. I really wish he had a shop in Homestead area!!!

What can I say about Enrique, the owner? He has been an absolute pleasure. I trust him totally with my car. On the one occasion where something slipped under the rador, he took care of the issue immediately. I highly recommend him and his shop for anyone looking for a good VW mechanic in Miami.

Enrique is great. He had my Westy clutch problems diagnosed and fixed same day. Make sure you give yourself some extra time to sit around and BS with Enrique and his crew. We had a great time sharing breakdown stories (anybody with an old VW has plenty!) He's conveniently located a block from the South Miami metro stop.

Enrique and his team are the only place i will take my Passat to be repaired. They're honest and always take time to tell you what they're doing or what they've done. They are organizers of the annual "Volksblast" event in South Miami so they really know Volkswagen, but they have also done great work on my Subaru Forester. - RA
