i have 92 svx,130,000 mi - tight as a tick, like knew because of butch and his crew. the only auto repair (in my lifetime-i'm 67) i walk in, give my diagnosis, and keys to butch, never as the cost. DUMB? not on your life, \prices are resonable and my car is dependable (i'll drive it round trip accross the country any time. Most of the mechanics are ASE approved to master level. the garage is clean during the working day, for pm work i always get there when they open equipment has been cleaned from previous days work. they care-about their shop and that transmits to my car.when i wait for my cars pm work - the lounge is in the service writers area (the boss (butch) is the service writer,i hear conversations with other customers, great rapport. Never misses in saying "we appreciate your business" when leaving I could continue they are sincere and great technicians and business men. but most of all i truely believe they care about my car. I also have a F-250 ford truck I won't bring to anyone but them.

Butch and his crew are always available if you need help. However, it better be something simple and easy. Brake jobs, tune up's, oil changes, etc are all ok. But I recently had a problem with a hesitation and situation where the car would start but not idle when cold. Butch and his crew changed the plugs and wires when the problem (found by the dealer) was an air intake control valve. If you need some serious diagnositic work go to the dealer.

My car broke down in Ocala as I was driving down from my home in Atlanta. I found out about Rising Sun from this website and I called Butch to see if he could put in a new engine for me. Since I live so far away, he could have easily ripped me off. However, he and his staff took such great care of my car. They found a new engine, put it in at a great price, and then test drove my car five different times to make sure that there weren't any problems. When I went to pick it up this weekend, Bud met me even though the shop is closed on weekends. He and I went for another test drive just to make sure everything was okay. If I lived in Ocala, I would never take my car anywhere else. These are honest, dependable car mechanics and we all know how hard it is to find them. I can't thank them enough.

Butch has worked on several of my mazdas, as well as several toyotas i have sent friends in for repairs. My next door neighbor uses him for his older miata. For at least 10 years i have been more than satisfied at his expertise and excellent customer service.I appreciate that he explains repairs and goes out of his way to see that things are done right.I feel he is honest and trustworthy and would always prefer him over the dealership in ocala.

I have a 1992 Chevy Cheyenne full size pick-up that I bought very cheaply with over 200,000 miles. It had a lot of problems, and I took it to several mechanics before Butch who said I should junk it. When I took it to Rising Sun, Butch told me it was well worth saving, put in a rebuilt engine and several other parts (for far less than the cost of buying another truck!) and it now works like a top! He said I can expect another ten years out of it, and I believe him! I won't use anyone else.

Butch and his crew can handle "regular" jobs like oil changes, brakes, etc., etc. However, when there is a problem requiring diagnostics you better head for the dealer. I had 2 problems where the car would start but not idle and a hiccup under slight load anytime between 20mph and 50 mph. Butch changed the plugs and wires (car had 117ooo miles, plugs were previously replaced at 70000). This made the hiccup a little better but that;s all. I ended up at the dealer who found the air intake control something was bad. Once that was changed I was good to go and car runs great. Long story short, when there is a problem that requires diognostics, head for the dealer.
