Randy is the owner and only mechanic at Central Automotive. He's been my mechanic for the 10 years I lived in the area, and I have always been extremely happy with him. Cars were always fixed correctly and for a great price, and he has never tried to sell me a repair I didn't need. My first car was a piece of junk, and when the carburetor needed maintenance, he told me it was not worth doing, because the car was old, and was not going to last long enough; he was right! Now I have moved to North Carolina, and am very concerned about finding another mechanic like him.

An honest, competent one-man shop, reminiscent of the Model Garage. Limited to routine maintenance and minor repairs, but willing to work with owners and other local shops to get any problem fixed. Randy has always helped me with my DIY efforts as well. Lots of people at my former workplace swear by him, and it was easy to get rides to and from before I retired. Wish I lived within walking distance, but the town library is handy, as are restaurants and antique shops. Full disclosure re two of my answers I tried to leave blank: He's never screwed up any job he's done for me, so I don't know what happens when he does, but I'm 99 44/100% sure he'd respond well. I am not a woman, so I can't say for certain how he treats them, but the women I've seen there and talked to seem 100% satisfied.
