Pete is one of the 'old fashioned' mechanics even though he's only in his 40's..we've dealt with him through 3 cars and over 11 years. He is extremely honest and sometimes doesn't charge what we feel he should (i.e., he lets a lot of little things go free) Our Subaru had over 300,000 miles when we gave it to our son and the current Saturn has over 200,ooo we strongly feel its due to his abilities and service. He does all kinds of repairs, thus couldn't check a specific 'specializes in', but no bodywork.

I have been very impressed with Pete and the other mechanic i have dealt with there. The first time i took my 240sx in because the timing chain was loose and he got in the engine and was able to tighten it. Then when i went to pick it up he said that wasnt a long term solution and didnt charge me a dime(the car had been in for other work earlier that week which was charged). Then i took my 240 in because it wouldnt start, turns out the engine wasnt registering that i had the clutch depressed and therefor wouldnt turn the engine over. I dropped the car off and a few hours later the problem was fixed with a bill of $30. In my experience he has been very genuine and very honest.

I've known Pete for over 25 years. He has been my mechanic for the last 20. I've found him to be honest and dependable and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone I know who needs a mechanic. I have never gotten a negative comment from anyone that I have recommended him to and to my knowledge, he is still their mechanic. I find his staff to be friendly and courteous. Pete's shop may not be located in the best part of town, but I have never found that to be a problem. Hearing some of the horror stories from other folks in dealing with mechanics, I feel that I am blessed.
