Owner/mechanic is very personable and knowledgeable. Gives written estimate, and prices are very reasonable compared to other shops. Owner came in on a Sat. to complete work by promised date even though he was "under the weather", suffering from flu. I was quite pleased with all aspects of the repair work (CV joint & boot replacement) quality, speed, and cost.

In 2008, I had a problem with my ABS right wheel hub assembly. I took it to my garage that I have been going to for a number of years, and they fixed it. This year the light stayed on again; they said it was a faulty part in the same wheel, and they fixed it for labor only. However, when they took it out for a test drive, the light stayed on again, within a matter of 2 minutes, they told me that it was the ABS module for $900. I said forget it. I looked on Car Talk for another mechanic and picked Michael's Auto Repair to get a second opinion. He diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes, fixed the wires that were bad in less than an hour, and it didn't cost me $900. The people at the shop were a wonderful group who treated you like you were a long time customer. I will highly recommend them to my friends. They were quick, and their price was more than reasonable.
