they always tell the truth and tell you exactly the problem. if you caused the problem with the way you drive they will let you know. they will also let you know if someone else can provide the same service for less.

My wife took the 2005 Ford Escape for an oil change on the recommendation from the Mechanic X Files. They have a multi-point checklist to verify everything is working OK. After the work was done, there was an explanation. Upon our request, they took the car back in and removed the rear brake drums to check the brake lining. So far, so good. We plan to go back for more oil changes and possibly repair work when it is needed. They do sell tires, so expect a sales pitch for that. The shop is right across from the library so you can browse while the oil is changed.
