I received an 84 Toyota for free, it was smacked in the right rear tire area with bad bondo work done to quarter panal, is 8 different shades of yellow, has a few areas where parts fell off and needs major cosmetic surgery. I asked them if it was worth putting money into and the reply was can I replace it for the money it would cost? No. So a few days later I pulled in and they treated me like it was a new Lexus and I had won the lottery. I had a scraping noise in the general area of the right rear tire after putting on the lift, they informed me I needed brakes. Couldn't afford them at the time.[and I didn't think it was a "needs brakes noise, which I have heard before"] Did some searching for noise on my own and found the crappy bondo job was scraping the tire. When it was on the lift the weight was off it and you couldn't tell. I pulled quarter panal away from tire and noise diminished. Within 2 days I heard a noise, grinding, cranking, clacking, dragging feeling that was definalty a cry for new brakes and master cylinder. They repaired my car quick as can be at a very reasonable price [having shared my story with others of the male gender who were a little astonished at the price][no it was not because I am a women and batted my eyes] and changed my oil and let me know other things that would be needed to be done. Having received the car for free it was well worth the investment and I plan on going back for other services.
