Just the right blend of friendly/professional

I went to AutoZone and got the error codes just to be sure these guys knew what they were doing. They got the same error codes, fixed the issues, and did not try to charge me for anything that was not necessary.

I have deposited several makes of cars on Richards lot over the past eight years, and he has always repaired them competently, quickly and at a very fair price. He and his team give a friendly personal service and if there is a problem with the repair, as I had once with a crappy Audi transmission, he immediately sorts it out, or in this case refunded his charges. My last problem was with a Jag, where the dealer had charged four times as much as Auto Clinic did, and took four more days, for the same repair.

Auto Clinic and MR Auto Clinic are the same. Correct name for both is MR AUTO CLINIC. Still highly recommended after 10 years. Peter Baker

MR Auto clinic is great! Richard usually mans the front desk and is always polite, cheerful and helpful. His partner is his equal in all of the above noted qualities. They are quick, efficient and thorough in their repairs and have been able to handle any problem on any make of car I have taken in to them including, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Highlander, Toyota Prius, Volvo 240, Volvo V70, and Ford Explorer. One day I took my car in for some repairs and needed to get some grocery shopping done so they lent me one of their personal cars to take to the supermarket. Another time I had to work and couldn't get my car into them before I left so Richard came to my office and got my car for me. And, finally, they run an honest business. If a repair isn't necessary, they don't do it and they will explain all repairs done, in detail if requested.

I needed an honest mechanic to address fairly serious issues with my 10-year-old Volvo and nobody has enough money to pay a Volvo dealership. I checked Car Talk's mechanic list and, sure enough, this was exactly the mechanic I had been looking for. Besides the friendliness of everyone I met there, the speed and thoroughness of their work was the best I have ever experienced. The owner, who works the counter, was very cheerful and took the time to explain everything. The pleasant surprise when the invoice was presented was that there was NO charge for evaluation, NO vague additional charges and the total cost was a fraction of what the dealership had quoted. The owner also told me where to get some parts that would need to be replaced soon and assured me I could do the work myself. I'm sold! MR Auto Clinic is where I will go every time now.

After relying on "Merek" and his crew for about 2 years he gave me his personal cell phone number because I commuted 70 miles a day with a 10-year-old car. That personal touch was completely unexpected but came in handy when the heater core split open while driving home on I-95. I called him (after his shop was closed) and described my situation. He told me to call AAA and have the car towed to his shop, drop the key in the key drop and wait for his call the next business day. By 10 A.M. the next day the car was fixed and he sent one of his workers to pick me up so I could still get to work driving my own car. MR Auto Clinic has been the best auto repair facility I have ever encountered. They are uncharacteristically honest, inexpensive, highly responsive and friendly even when potential customers are rude. When a part needs to be replaced they do all the research to find the least expensive part and offer you the old part even if you don't request it. They also carefully explain why the original part failed in a very personable, non judgmental fashion way that actually encourages you to care more about why mechanical components fail. They specialize in European cars but are equally competent with any vehicle and just as enthusiastic about righting the wrongs of any manufacturer. On the first visit, anyone will realize they have found a treasure and a good friend.
