Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 One of the best kept secrets in South Florida‎ - Sam‎ - 2008-03-27 Servicing your treasured German auto is serious business and Mel takes it very seriously. Like a physician trained at a top teaching hospital, Mel's skills were harnessed and polished at ground zero for mechanics- THE BRONX which is known as auto mechanic boot camp. Even more impressive, Mel was a well known race car driver in Trinidad!! There is no problem (even electrical gremlins in an old Audi ) that Mel cannot tackle successfully although patience and a sense of humor is a must if you require his expertise. As most of you know too well, our German uber vehicles are complex machines that are sometimes as quirky as a German beer hall during Oktoberfest. With that in mind, IF you are in a hurry to have that growling sound coming from the front end of your 750IL fixed, Mel is not for you. In fact it is probably a good idea to sell your German auto and buy a Toyota if you do not have the patience or a sense of humor. HOWEVER, if you are like me and have a taste for autobahn inspired vehicles Mel is your answer. I have known Mel for over 17 years. Although I now live with my fiance in California, I still stop by his shop to say hello to Mel, his lovely wife Donna, and their kooky Quaker parrot Pancho when I am in Boca visiting my family. He is that kind of person. A person that becomes a friend for life if you are a Mensch like he is. In short, Mel is a very effective and sometimes unconventional diagnostician when it comes to resolving the issue in your German auto. If you desire the best to fix your precious vehicle than Mel is your savior. Just be patient, leave your East Coast New York attitude (you New York transplants) at the door, and get ready to laugh!!!

Mel has been fixing my families' audi's for 13+ years. He is honest, reliable although since he is so competent he requires at least a week's notice before the car may be looked at. He his a one man operation. Donna his wife is also wonderful. If you chose him, be patient. He takes his time. But the work is completed correct the first time!!!!
